AD:SAUCE September - we're looking at Mobile...

The next AD:SAUCE event in September will be focusing on mobile; our research is underway - if you want to get involved, get in touch...

We’ll be working with Jonathan MacDonald, Senior Mobile Consultant at Ogilvy/WPP and Peggy-Anne Salz, Chief Analyst and Producer at Msearchgroove [one of THE mobile gurus] to put the content together...

We're thinking of covering:

- how brands and agencies can use mobile media to reach their audiences in a compelling way
- how mobile can be used to augment campaigns across other media

Date and venue will be confirmed mid-August - if you want to make sure you hear it first - join our email subscription list - further down the right-hand column...

Your feedback please!

Just in case you miss/delete/ignore the email we're sending out in the morning [we know, it is Friday], we'd appreciate your feedback and direction for future events.

Whether you came along on Tuesday, or you registered but then thought better of it, or even if this is the first time you've come across us, it's all helpful - click here to complete our short survey - all respondents will be entered in a prize draw for £50 Oddbins vouchers.

Thank you... a summary of your key thoughts and our next steps will be published here in a couple of weeks.

AD:SAUCE 1 - the presentations and the pics

3 of the 4 presentations from Tuesday night's event are now live on TheFridayPint.com:

- Using Social Media to Increase Digital Revenues - Wasabi
- Turning Online Marketing into Measurable In-store Sales - Couponstar
- Increasing Online Traffic and Revenue through Vertical Search - Convera

We're just waiting on a PC-friendly version of the Ceros presentation and that will be uploaded too.

A selection of photos can be found either:
- on Flickr
- on the AD:SAUCE Facebook group

Any comments or questions, just let us know.

His name is Adam Sangster

We received a lot of feedback last night - thank you everyone for being so supportive - and we're in the process of digesting it all to ensure future events are as good as we can make them.

One small point though that we must address urgently:

The tall chap from 'The Marketing Forum' was called Adam Sangster, not Adam Sangstert as printed upon his badge. He was a trifle upset with us at this error and the effect it may have had on his networking that evening, so we said we would publish a correction for him.

So we hope this clears up any confusion, Adam - next time, check your typing when you register :o)

Where were we?

Hmmm. Seems that our location email got lost in the ether for a number of you...

...we're really sorry.

We didn't receive any bouncebacks so we were unaware of the size of the problem. We'll be having a chat with the company who manage our event registrations.

We're being transparent about all the feedback we receive and what we're doing about it... looking at the web stats for this site for yesterday, the day of AD:SAUCE 1, it looks like a helluva lot of people came on here - probably to find out where on earth it was happening!

So lesson learned - publish the location in advance, worry about people turning up unregistered as and when it happens.

One for the ladies?

A couple of our TheFridayPint.com members have asked if we will be 'doing a social' that is aimed at the ladies in the industry as sadly our 5-a-side football tournament is men only.

We're more than happy to put together events that are of benefit to media sales professionals from publisher to junior sales exec - personal or professional development, training, networking or just socialising and fun.

If you have any ideas but don't want the hassle of putting an event together yourself, just let us know and we'll use one of our TFP network of super organisers to get it off the ground.

Do you remember BOOB nights?

A number of confirmed attendees for the first AD:SAUCE night are reminiscing about the long gone but not forgotten BOOB [Buy Our Own Beer] nights from around 1999/2000... so in answer to the questions, yes, it's the same principle and we're hoping AD:SAUCE will be just as good, if not better.

Plus with the 'Learning' thrown in, you've got a much more legitimate excuse to stay out late.

We're now at 110 attendees so stop umming and aahing and book your [free] ticket before they're all gone!
